Spring is Here!

DoodleBips spring specials focus on activities outside.  Why not follow Darwin on the 200th anniversary of his birth, Kew Gardens is running Thinking Walks, for families, to complement The Great Plant Hunt. Darwin loved the outdoors, and spent a lot of time with his family, in their garden at Down House in Kent, this gives you a chance to find out what inspired Darwin, so you can be inspired too. However, if you want a more physical challenge of your own, Climbing in the tree tops is one option! Go Ape has several centres across the UK and if you are not afraid of heights, then you should try this activity!

Unicorn theatre is running the Book of Beasts for ages 5 upwards. Imagine you were king. Imagine you could do anything you wanted, except one thing. You must never ever open The Book of Beasts. What would you do?

2009 is International Year of Astronomy, now is a good time of year to watch the stars, but its also a great opportunity to go to one of the places holding special events and exhibits - Eureka is one such place here you can find the Space Festival, a treat for the young ones.

For those late teenagers it will soon be time to leave home and go to college and university, or make their way in the world. Why not help them out with a master class in Cookery with a course at the Coghlans School of Cookery? Alternatively for the more junior masterchefs how about a One Day Cookery Class at Raymond Blanc's Manoir.
